Since 1999, Thermopap assesses, designs and installs both air and steam systems for paper dryers. Performance is increased while the energy consumption required for paper drying (corrugated cardboard, kraft paper, specialised paper, etc…) is reduced.

Thermopap gets involved in the entire industrial paper drying process. All potential energy savings are guaranteed.

• Upstream, Thermopap audits the papermaker dryer sections and determines the potential energy savings by model simulation (e.g. Alhstrom);
• During operations, Thermopap modifies the air systems and steam systems on existing dryer sections and increases the performance of the paper mills (e.g. VPK);
• Downstream, Thermopap installs steam systems on the new “Allimand” machines in the dryer sections.

Assessment

It is implemented in several stages: machine audit, drying operation modelling, energy balance by comparing the modelling results and the measurements, synthesis of the potential energy savings, technical solutions proposed and implemented by Thermopap.

Steam system

Thermopap offers and designs steam systems suitable for drying all types of paper for papermakers and machine manufacturers.

Cascade and thermo-compressor type solutions are equipped with sensors coupled with drying software specially developed by Thermopap.

This paper drying strategy optimises the energy efficiency for each dryer section.

Air system

Thermopap offers papermakers and machine manufacturers, complete and innovative solutions (battery sets and pocket ventilation) for dryer aeraulics.

Duct and piping network

Thermopap provides turnkey solutions for papermakers.

A 3D model of the solution is provided to assist the implementation of the technical solutions delivered by Thermopap.

Each 3D model provides the overall applicable isometric groups.
